Dating back to the late 1980s, this pair of 22kt gold-plated dome clip earrings showcases an incredible manufacturing anomaly directly from the vintage casting and enameling assembly line, making it a verified 1-of-1 collector's artifact.
Design & Structural Architecture
A rare visual demonstration of 20th-century jewelry manufacturing science.
  • The Unfinished Enameling Process: The pair features a highly dramatic structural asymmetry. While the left earring underwent the full production cycle—having its recessed cast channels fully filled with smooth cream-white enamel—the right earring bypassed the injection station entirely.
  • The Exposed Base Channels: On the right piece, the deep vertical channels remain entirely unfilled, exposing the raw, unpainted, slightly brownish industrial base coat primer inside the grooves. The raised tracks remain perfectly consistent and identical across both pieces, beautifully framing the empty channels.
  • The Mechanical Casing: Both pieces feature the pristine, high-polished reverse paddle backing stamped with the authentic signature: "© NINA RICCI". The mechanical clip tension remains fully factory-tight.
